"There is a call inside of you to discover or re-confirm what, deep down,
you know to be the truth of your being. You know that the concepts that maintain a pattern of suffering are false. Intuitively you feel that 'hanging out' in the energy of a deeper knowing supports you in penetrating the lies and brings relief and peace to you in body, mind and soul."

Greetings!

Welcome to Issue 2 of Truth's Company. I had a flurry of e-mails full of positive comments and support after the first issue went out - if one of them was from you - then thank you for that!

In this issue, we have our first 'Names of Grace' offering and in 'Cyber Satsang' we look at a manifesting conundrum.

The main article this month explores how our belief in the need to be consistent prevents us from flowing with the freedom of each moment.

Also there is news and details of forthcoming Satsang events and a special invitation for Men Only - to come and experience Journey Man this weekend.

I hope you enjoy this edition of Truth's company!

Next Satsang Evening: Weymouth

The Satsang event in the Weymouth area is approaching fast. It's actually taking place in Winterbourne Herrington, just outside Dorchester, on Tuesday 20th March. (For those local people in the know, that's about 1 mile from the Dorchester/Weymouth roundabout on the A35).

Please give Jennie a call for specific directions to the venue. She will happily take your call on 01305 772220, and her e-mail is jennie@reddandelion.co.uk.

Date Change - Next Abingdon Satsang

Please note that the monthly Satsang in Abingdon, which is usually on the first Tuesday of the month, will be on the SECOND Tuesday, next month only! That's Tuesday April 10th.

London Event Confirmed

I am very excited to announce that our first London event is confirmed for Wednesday April 25th. It will be held at Neal's Yard Meeting Rooms in central London - close to Tottenham Court Road and Covent Garden tube stations and just behind the famous 'Mysteries' shop.

For further datails please call Sara Laksimi on 07810 353329 or e-mail: saralaksimi@btinternet.com. Also, if you would like to support this event in terms of distributing leaflets or getting the word out there in any way we'd love to hear from you.

Thanks to all of you who have already expressed an interest in an intimate group trip to India. The nature, intention and form of the trip has evolved considerably since it's original inception and I hope to be able to offer a cohesive outline of the trip in the near future. I'll be sure to keep you posted!

In the mean time, if you feel you would be interested in joining us for this event, then I'd love you to register your interest by sending me an e-mail.

Calling All Men
(And Ladies That Know One!)

JourneyMan

Mar 15-18th 2007

At the end of this week I'm off to Holland to assist Kevin Billett as he gives his amazing 'Journey Man' retreat. For those of you who don't know Kevin, not only is he Brandon Bays' husband and business partner, he is also a wonderful presenter and an incredible example of a man living in truth, open exposure and embracing his 'man-ness' fully as it shows up in each moment.

At Journey Man (an open to men only retreat) Kevin provides the space and the tools for men to explore, dive into and finally free themselves of their gender related issues. Ultimately Journey Man is an opportunity to uncover the truth of who we really are and begin living fully as men beyond the 'man' label.

Journey Man is the only in depth Journey Retreat that does not require you to have done the Journey Intensive weekend. (So, ladies, if that man in your life wasn't so sure the Journey Intensive was for him - then this could be a great place for him to discover Journey work!)

Furthermore, if you make the decision to attend Journey Man, you will then be entitled to sit any Journey Intensive this year for FREE. That includes Intensives with Presenters (such as myself or Debs Burgess) or even with Brandon in June. That's basically two for the price of one (an equivalent saving of £345, if you choose Brandon's event).

So, if you do feel called to Journey Man - take action NOW - it's this weekend! And I'll see you there!

Myth Busting: The Need To Be Consistent
By Joel Young

Ghandi

"I have given up the

need to be consistent"

Mahatma Ghandi

Any need to be consistent creates a cage around freedom and can cause us to betray the truth of the moment. It is not that following the truth of the moment never brings a sense of consistency. Nor is it about seeking inconsistency - for a need (or even a desire) to be one way or the other ultimately binds you to a concept.

When I heard Ghandi's quote for the first time it rang enormous bells for me! It was as if some part of me relaxed - like I'd been let off the hook and finally had permission to ask what was really here for me in each moment.  I realised how much I had contorted myself in subtle and not so subtle ways in an attempt to be consistent. I finally let go of the painful idea; that it is more important to be consistent than to be true to the moment.

You see, the illusion of consistency is required by the ego to maintain its sense of identity. When we 'take up residence' in a limited view of who we are - for example: a good boy/girl, a bad boy/girl, superior, inferior, nice, rebellious, victim, helper etc. - in order to maintain this image (to ourselves and others) we begin living in ways that confirm this limited label, rather than in confirmation of the truth of our unlimited potential.

When a situation arises and the energy of your natural free Self flows you to an action, thought or feeling that doesn't conform to the label, there will be conflict. It is the struggle as the ego resists that natural flow. It must resist, avoid or deny the true essence of the moment in order to be consistent with the label it believes itself to be.

Consistency, then, is really an investment or attachment to any fixed way, idea or desire. And though it is commonly applauded and respected its real cost is freedom, and it is based on a lack of trust in our True Nature.

So when you give up the need to be consistent you allow yourself to experience the freedom and flow in each moment. It is an act of surrender to your True Nature and gives your mind a new paradigm from which to operate. But don't take my word for it - be still, meditate upon it, experience for yourself - what feels freer?

This month a question came my way addressing a common confusion in the area of 'Manifesting'. It went along the lines of:

I get very confused about accepting and loving what I have now and wanting to see a change, or have something more. Can you offer some insight into resolving or understanding this paradox?

OK, so let's start with the basics. Who are you really but formless nothingness playing lightly (or not so lightly) with the illusion of form? When you rest in the awareness of your true nature you can delight in the form as it shows up each moment.

All form is really a 'translation' of the vibration that we emanate from pure energy into 'a physical expression'. In a sense you could say that form is history - a wave of energy (an intention, a prayer you might say) goes out like a ripple, and returns after a time as form. Sometimes what we experience then is an apparent contrast.  Perhaps, by the time an older prayer manifests - a new energy is with us. Or perhaps the arrival of 'the answer to our prayer' helps us to realise that what we were putting out for wasn't what we wanted after all, and some modification of our vibration is in order!

So, when you make your intention or your prayer, know that this is the act of sending out the vibration - or to be more accurate, putting your passion into connecting and feeling the vibration you want to manifest now, sets the wheels of formation in motion. This is stating to 'the universe': 'This is what I want'. Once you have done that, you can know that the physical manifestation is on its way and you can simply enjoy the means to that end.

So here's the 'what's here now' part. Now IS the means to that end - each moment until it's physically here. Your enjoyment of the 'means of now' continues to allow the ripple to return. Whatever prayers you have put out - NOW is a means to that end, if it's not here yet. So love it - your prayer is being answered!

Looking for a deeper truth to the questions that arise in your life? Why not put your question in an e-mail and send it to me. Each month I will pick one and let it be answered in the newsletter. Please put 'Cyber Satsang' in the subject line and send your email to CyberSatsang@truthscompany.com

Names of Grace

Lets face it - words can never fully capture or describe completely the true boundless nature of who we really are. And yet, we tend to experience it first hand with a particular fragrance unique to us, each time, each moment - and some very exquisite descriptions or 'names' have been offered to convey this pure experience.

'Names of Grace' provides a space to share the descriptive names YOU have given to convey your personal and direct experience of your deepest, essential Self.  Your sharing gives us all an opportunity to bask in the reflection of these heavenly qualities.

Thanks to Dawn Hubbard for taking the time to share one of her early experiences of her 'Source' and providing this months 'Name of Grace':

FABRIC OF CONSCIOUSNESS

I encourage you to spend some time being still with this quality and invite it into your life this month.

How would you live your life if you if you knew yourself to be the very Fabric of Consciousness itself?

How might this effect the way you felt towards yourself and others? Your decisions? Your intentions?

It's an investigation - an inquiry - be open, be light, have fun - and let me know what you discover!

So, who or what have you experienced yourself to be at the deepest level? Send you 'Names of Grace' in to NamesOfGrace@truthscompany.com

Thanks for taking the time to read this edition of 'Truth's Company'. If you enjoyed it and feel it has value for someone else, please forward it to a friend (you can use the 'Forward this e-mail to a friend' link below. It doesn't sign them up (they can do that for themselves) and their e-mail address is not stored anywhere!
