At last months Satsang in Weymouth, it came to me to take the group through an exercise that I hadn't used for a long while. It is an experiential exercise that brings awareness to the One Consciousness that handles the interplay, creation and flow of everything through the medium of individuals. You could say it is the Great Conductor of the Symphony of Life!

In this exercise the participants were guided to open and connect with their 'Master' within, and then imagine they were offering their life's teaching, their gift or legacy to humanity encapsulated in one sentence. This is not shared with the room and there is no conferring. Instead a piece of paper is passed around and in turn each person writes their own sentence, folds over the paper (so that others cannot see it) and pass it to the next until everyone has transcribed their message.

What I have experienced again and again, as the whole message is read out, is a beautiful wisdom, flowing poetry and teachings coming forth that would be at home amongst the works of the great sages throughout time. It becomes clear that there is a harmony and flow that is doing the writing. It does not require the individual parts to know what piece of the message has come before and what piece will come next. It only requires each individual to allow their own piece to be expressed and the beauty and wisdom of the whole unfolds.

You are One Consciousness,

Embrace everything as yourself.

So, in life, we have often been conditioned to look to the past or the future to 'know' what is the 'right' action now. We seek to compare our ideas for this moment with the actions and ideas of others. And yet the harmony of the moment exists within You. Grace, The One Consciousness, has the bigger picture handled. It knows the 'score'. As for the previous moment - it's over. And the next moment - will reveal itself in its own time. As for the actions and ideas of others - these are none of your business. Imagine you are a trumpet player in the orchestra of life and blow your own trumpet! Stop trying to play your neighbours trumpet - she'll get really hacked off and there'll be no-one there to play your trumpet! Grace has their part handled through them, and your part handled through you!

Allowing your part of the symphony to play through you is the greatest joy of life. Listen inward and note by note, moment by moment, your song will be revealed.
